The family travels to Peru, where they learn Lucy has vanished in the Amazon. Paddington finds a map to Rumi Rock and sets off with a map and Lucy's bracelet. They encounter riverboat captain Hunter Cabot, who is obsessed with finding the mythical city of El Dorado.
