Expecting a child, Clara and Mario travel to a remote town to view yet another apartment, whose abandoned building and scattered mannequin parts make a poor first impression.

The story

After receiving a brochure for an apartment, Clara and Mario travel through torrential rain to a remote town to view it. Since learning they are expecting a child, they have been searching for somewhere larger and have already seen dozens of places. The building looks abandoned, and mannequin parts lie across the floor, stairs and landings. The estate agent reassures them that the local council is renovating the area and says two families have recently moved in. Clara and Mario go up to the third floor and enter the apartment.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

After receiving a brochure for an apartment, Clara and Mario travel to the remote town where the building is located. They drive through torrential rain that has been falling all day. They’re going to look at a flat. Another one. They’ve already seen dozens. Ever since they found out they were expecting a child, they haven’t stopped looking for somewhere a little bigger. But this time, the estate agents insisted this place was special. The first impression isn’t exactly good. Their flat, like everything else in the area, looks abandoned, empty... and there are all those mannequin parts strewn across the floor, on the stairs and on the landings. The estate agent reassures them. Apparently, the local council is renovating the whole area. In a few months, they’ll have it looking great. In fact, two new families have just moved in. One on the mezzanine floor and one on the second floor. They go up to the third floor and enter the flat. The truth is, they should never have done it... Their flat, the entire building, is a trap. Like a spider’s web that only becomes visible when it’s already too late to escape.
