The story
Margot and her cameraman friend Chris aim to produce a documentary about Margot's past, specifically investigating why her mother abandoned her at a hospital. They connect with a blood relative, Samuel, who is an Amish man currently in his rumspringa. Samuel leads the team to Beiler Farm, the community where Margot's mother originated. Upon arrival, they are welcomed by the patriarch, Jacob. However, the group soon encounters unsettling events, including a mysterious girl in a barn and strange sounds from Margot's mother's old room, as they begin to probe the community's hidden secrets.

Margot and her cameraman friend Chris seek to uncover why Margot's mother, Sarah, abandoned her at a hospital. They meet Samuel, an Amish man, who leads them to Beiler Farm. The patriarch, Jacob, welcomes them, but the group soon experiences supernatural occurrences. Jacob reveals that Sarah was a free spirit who defied Amish practices and was presumed dead after leaving Margot at a hospital. The team witnesses a ritual involving the sacrifice of a two-headed goat and discovers a church containing paintings of the demon Asmodeus. Margot discovers that Jacob and Samuel knew she was Sarah's daughter and orchestrated her arrival. A ghoulish being attacks Margot, leaving her catatonic. Chris and Dale learn that the residents are not actually Amish but are part of a bloodline where a demon was trapped in a woman's body and passed from mother to daughter. Margot is the next in line. After Margot disappears, Chris finds her in a pit, kills Jacob, and rescues her from a skeletal creature—Sarah possessed by Asmodeus. Margot manages to send Sarah to her death. Asmodeus is unleashed, causing a massacre at the farm. Margot and Chris escape, while a possessed Samuel compels two police officers to take their own lives before driving away.
