The story
The story follows a young couple, Maddie and Tyler, who have recently embraced the van life lifestyle. While traveling on a remote highway, they encounter a series of unsettling events following a nearby accident involving another traveler. After witnessing a mysterious force claim a life, the couple finds their own vehicle marked by strange claw marks. As they navigate the lonely roads, they realize they are being stalked by a malevolent presence known as the 'Passenger.' They must navigate the dangers of the open road and seek out a mysterious woman named Diana to uncover the truth and find a way to escape the entity's grasp.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Two friends, Daniel and Lucas, are traveling at night when Daniel is killed by an unseen attacker. Nearby, Maddie and Tyler are enjoying their new van life. After a brief stop, they witness Lucas' car crash; Lucas is killed by an unseen force. The couple finds claw marks on their van and learns of the 'Passenger,' a demonic entity that haunts travelers. After a warning from a woman named Diana, the couple realizes the danger. They eventually reach Flagstaff to find Diana, but she is killed by the Passenger. During a desperate flight, the Passenger mimics Tyler's appearance to trick Maddie. They eventually follow a symbol on a billboard to a hidden Church of St. Christopher. In a final confrontation, Maddie rams her van into the Passenger, impaling it on a statue and ending the threat as emergency services arrive.
