The story
The film continues the adventures of Percy Jackson and his friends as they journey to the Sea of Monsters to retrieve the Golden Fleece in order to save the tree barrier that protects their home. After a Colchis bull attacks the camp and poisons the protective barrier, the group must venture into the dangerous Bermuda Triangle. They are joined by a young cyclops named Tyson, Percy's older half-brother. Along the way, they face various mythological dangers and must navigate the complexities of their identities as demigods while trying to secure the magical fleece to restore their sanctuary.

Seven years prior, Thalia Grace was turned into a tree to form a protective barrier around Camp Half-Blood. In the present, the barrier is weakened by Luke's actions. Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson set out to find the Golden Fleece in the Bermuda Triangle. They are captured by Luke on his yacht, the 'Andromeda', where he reveals his plan to resurrect the Titan Kronos. After escaping and navigating the Sea of Monsters, they reach Florida and find the Fleece guarded by the cyclops Polyphemus. They retrieve the Fleece but are ambushed by Luke. During a final battle, Percy defeats Kronos, and Annabeth is briefly resurrected by the Fleece. Upon returning to camp, the Fleece is placed on Thalia's tree, restoring the barrier and resurrecting Thalia, leaving the prophecy of Olympus's fate uncertain.
