The story
Rob, a reclusive truffle-forager and former renowned chef, lives in the Oregon wilderness with his prized foraging pig. His secluded life is disrupted when he is attacked and his pig is stolen by unidentified assailants. To find his companion, Rob must leave his sanctuary and travel to Portland, where he reconnects with his past and partners with a young, inexperienced supplier named Amir. The journey forces Rob to confront the memories of his former life as a chef and the circumstances that led him to the woods, as he navigates the complexities of his current situation to recover the animal he loves.

Rob, a former chef living in the Oregon wilderness, hunts truffles with his prized foraging pig. After the pig is stolen by thieves, Rob teams up with Amir, a young supplier, to track it down. Their journey takes them through a clandestine fighting ring and into the heart of Portland's culinary scene. Rob eventually discovers that the theft was orchestrated by Darius, a wealthy man who owns a high-end restaurant. After a tense confrontation where Darius offers a payout to abandon the search, Rob and Amir travel to Darius's home. They prepare a meal for Darius, recreating a moment from Rob's past. During the meal, Darius confesses that the thieves he hired actually killed the pig. Rob is left devastated, and the film ends with him returning to his cabin, finding solace in a recording of his late wife's voice.
