In an uneasy alliance, a group of pirates and allies must embark on a perilous quest to rescue Captain Jack Sparrow and confront a powerful corporate threat to the pirate way of life.

The story

Following the events of the previous film, Lord Cutler Beckett now controls the oceans and seeks to eliminate all piracy. When Captain Jack Sparrow is trapped in Davy Jones' Locker, an uneasy alliance is formed between Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Hector Barbossa, and the crew of the Black Pearl. They must navigate treacherous waters and face the East India Trading Company to rescue Jack and convene the Brethren Court. The group faces a desperate struggle to stop Beckett's expansion of power and ensure the survival of the pirate way of life in a world where the line between sea and land is being forcibly redrawn by corporate interests.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Lord Cutler Beckett, now in control of the oceans, orders Davy Jones to destroy all pirate ships. To counter this, pirate lords are summoned to Shipwreck Cove to form the Brethren Court. Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Hector Barbossa, and the crew of the Black Pearl set out to rescue Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones' Locker. Along the way, they encounter Sao Feng in Singapore and navigate the treacherous waters of the Locker. They eventually reach Shipwreck Cove, where a desperate parley occurs between the pirates and Beckett's forces. During a climactic battle in a massive maelstrom, the fate of the ocean is decided. Will Turner becomes the captain of the Flying Dutchman, and the pirates successfully defeat Beckett's fleet. The film concludes with a glimpse of the future, showing Elizabeth and her son watching Will return aboard the Dutchman.
