Two college roommates must navigate a surreal, hallucinatory landscape to retrieve a pizza that can counteract the effects of a mysterious drug.
The story
College roommates Jack and Montgomery face a difficult semester, dealing with personal struggles and local bullies. Their situation takes a surreal turn when they discover a tin of experimental drugs called M.I.N.T.S. The substances induce intense, often violent hallucinations, and the only known remedy is the consumption of food. Having ordered pizza earlier, the pair must navigate their dorm and the surrounding campus to retrieve it from a delivery robot. Along the way, they must evade the school's resident advisors while dealing with the bizarre, hallucinatory visions triggered by the drug, which force them into a desperate quest to find their meal and return to reality.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Jack and Montgomery, two college roommates, take a drug called M.I.N.T.S. that causes hallucinatory and violent visions. They learn that only food can stop the effects, leading them on a quest to retrieve a pizza from a robot named Snackatron 3000 while avoiding a strict RA named Blake. Under the influence, they experience surreal trials, including a requirement to not swear and a sequence where they relive past experiences. During these hallucinations, Jack and their friend Lizzy swap bodies, and Montgomery briefly becomes a butterfly. They encounter various characters, including an inept RA named Sidney and a girl named Ashley. After several obstacles and a confrontation with Blake, who tries to seize their phones, the trio eventually reaches the pizza. The final hallucination reveals their reality as a 'low-budget indie film.' After eating the pizza, the effects wear off, and the friends reconcile with their circumstances, ultimately deciding to stay together and continue their hobby of tabletop gaming.
