A commercial pilot must team up with a suspected murderer to save their passengers after an emergency landing in a hostile territory.
The story
Commercial pilot Brodie Torrance, a former RAF pilot from Scotland, flies Trailblazer Airlines Flight 119 from Singapore to Honolulu via Tokyo. Among the 14 passengers is fugitive homicide suspect Louis Gaspare, who is being extraded to Canada under the custody of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer. After a lightning strike destroys the plane's avionics during a storm, Brodie and co-pilot Samuel Dele manage an emergency landing on a remote airstrip on Jolo island in the southern Philippines. The pilot must then navigate the dangers of the local territory to ensure the safety of his passengers and crew.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a lightning strike disables their aircraft's avionics, pilot Brodie Torrance and co-pilot Samuel Dele land Trailblazer Airlines Flight 119 on Jolo island in the Philippines. The flight included Louis Gaspare, a French Foreign Legionnaire being extradited for homicide. While a crisis team in New York coordinates a response, Brodie and Louis venture into the jungle to find help. They discover that local rebels, led by Datu Junmar, are holding foreigners for ransom. After a series of skirmishes and a desperate attempt to reach the plane, the passengers and crew are captured by the rebels. Brodie and Louis eventually infiltrate the rebel base, manage to get the passengers onto a bus, and create a diversion for a mercenary team to arrive. During the chaotic extraction, Louis stays behind to fight off a rocket-propelled grenade, while Brodie and Samuel work to get the plane airborne. They successfully land on a nearby island, where Brodie finally contacts his daughter to say he is coming home.
