An unemployed accountant and a former soldier must team up to protect their sons after a routine playdate is interrupted by a mercenary attack.
The story
Recently laid-off forensic accountant Brian Jennings struggles to adjust to life as a stay-at-home dad for his stepson Lucas. To help Lucas make friends, Brian arranges a playdate with Jeff Eamon, a charismatic and hyper-athletic stay-at-home dad. However, the peaceful afternoon at an indoor playground quickly spirals into chaos when a team of armed mercenaries attacks. The two fathers are forced to flee in a stolen minivan, while Jeff reveals that he and his son are actually on the run from both the military and the authorities.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a mercenary attack during a playdate, Brian and Jeff flee in a minivan. Jeff reveals he is a former Delta Force soldier who rescued his son, CJ, from a secret facility. They learn that CJ is actually 'Clone Jeff,' the first successful clone created by billionaire Simon Maddox and Colonel Kurtz to produce emotionless super-soldiers. When Maddox threatens Brian's wife, Emily, Brian briefly betrays the group but later joins Jeff in a rescue mission. They infiltrate a facility filled with feral clones. In a final test, CJ is ordered to kill Jeff but instead rebels, shoots Maddox, and embraces his 'found family.' Brian and Jeff destroy the facility's core, and the four of them—Jeff, CJ, Brian, and Lucas—escape. A mid-credits scene shows Jeff and CJ arriving at Brian's home after their own house was destroyed by a new group of pursuers.
