The story
Twenty years after disappearing, Jacques Sportolano returns home incognito as Laurent Dupas, though everyone believes him dead. He reunites with his family: his wife has remarried, his daughter is a doctor, and his son is a pilot. They seem happy, but a mystery lies behind the family’s idyllic appearance.

Twenty years after disappearing, and while everyone believes him to be dead, Jacques Sportolano (Georges Claisse) returns home incognito under the name Laurent Dupas. He is reunited with his family. His wife, Hélène (Claude Jade), has remarried Eric (Jean Barney), a bank manager. His daughter Anne has become a doctor, and his son Marc a pilot... They all seem happy. Yet a mystery lies behind this idyllic family picture. The film has different endings, and the audience was allowed to decide how it ended by voting.
