The story

The film centers on Priscilla Beaulieu and her relationship with Elvis Presley. They meet in West Germany in 1959 while Elvis is in the military; she is 14 and he is 24. After a period of separation, they reconnect in 1962, and she moves to Memphis in 1963 to live at Graceland. The narrative follows her life through the mid-1960s, during which she deals with his public infidelities, his explosive temper, and his escalating drug use. They marry in Las Vegas in 1967 and have a daughter, Lisa Marie, in 1968. As the years pass, Elvis becomes increasingly distant and physically absent. In 1973, while visiting him in his hotel room, Priscilla finds him in a haze of drug abuse. She eventually decides to seek an independent life, and the film concludes as she drives away from Graceland, leaving behind the life of a rock icon's wife.
