A group of childhood friends must decide whether loyalty means protecting their best friend or turning him in as their annual hike turns into a police pursuit.
The story
Seven childhood friends set out on their pleasant annual hike to the summit of the Iseran, expecting a familiar outing. But the trip becomes an improbable getaway, with every police force in France pursuing them. At its center is a difficult choice: their best friend does not want to return to prison, and they must consider whether to turn him in. As the friends face the pressure of the pursuit, the situation tests whether their longstanding bond can withstand the pull of self-preservation.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Your best friend doesn’t want to go back to prison. Would you turn him in anyway? That is the dilemma facing seven childhood friends, who had no idea that their pleasant annual hike to the summit of the Iseran would turn this time into an improbable getaway, with every police force in France on their tail. A chance to see whether, over time, friendship can withstand the temptation of “every man for himself.”
