The story
Yannick is a nursing assistant in a care home for the elderly, where he maintains a contagious good mood despite constant pressure and severe budget cuts. When a class of children and their supervisor arrive to share the residents’ dining hall, Yannick is hostile to the arrangement, and tensions between the generations seem likely.

Yannick is a nursing assistant in a care home for the elderly. Although he is always in a contagiously good mood, he has to deal with constant pressure and severe budget cuts. To make matters worse, a class of children and their supervisor come to share the dining hall with the residents. Yannick is hostile to the arrangement, in an atmosphere that looks set to become conflictual between the generations, but a certain bond soon develops, and strong, deeply moving ties that benefit everyone are formed—particularly between the rebellious young Brieuc and Yvon, a former stuntman.
