Ralph and Vanellope venture into the vast world of the Internet to save a beloved arcade game.

The story

Six years after the events of the first film, Ralph and Vanellope remain best friends in Litwak's Arcade. While Ralph is content with their life, Vanellope grows restless with the predictability of Sugar Rush. To cheer her up, Ralph creates a secret path in her game, but the effort leads to a broken steering wheel. With the game facing being unplugged, the duo decides to travel through a Wi-Fi router into the Internet—a sprawling digital landscape where websites are buildings and programs are people. They must navigate this complex new world to find a replacement part and save their home before it is lost forever.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

After a broken steering wheel puts the Sugar Rush game at risk of being unplugged, Ralph and Vanellope travel through a Wi-Fi router into the Internet. They navigate a sprawling city of websites to find a replacement on eBay, but they only have 24 hours to raise the funds. Along the way, they encounter a variety of digital entities, including a search engine and a social media algorithm. Vanellope finds herself in a 'green room' with Disney Princesses, while Ralph works to secure the funds. However, a misunderstanding leads Ralph to use a virus to help Vanellope, which backfires and creates a swarm of Ralph clones that threaten the internet. The duo must work together to stop the clones and reconcile their friendship. Ultimately, they manage to save the game and find a new sense of independence, with Vanellope finding a new home in a different game while staying in touch with Ralph.
