The story
Eleven years after returning from Burma, John Rambo lives on a horse ranch in Arizona. When his friend's granddaughter, Gabriela, travels to Mexico to find her biological father, she is kidnapped by a Mexican cartel and forced into prostitution. Upon learning of her disappearance, Rambo travels to Mexico to confront the cartel. He faces a dangerous journey through the underworld, navigating a web of violence and betrayal to locate the girl. He must navigate the dangers of the cartel's territory to rescue her before it is too late.

Eleven years after returning from Burma, John Rambo lives in Arizona. When his friend's granddaughter, Gabriela, is kidnapped by a Mexican cartel after visiting her biological father, Rambo travels to Mexico to find her. He is confronted and marked by the cartel leaders, the Martinez brothers. While Rambo is treated by a journalist named Carmen, Gabriela is sold into sexual slavery. Rambo eventually finds her in a brothel, but she dies from a heroin overdose in his arms. Enraged, Rambo prepares his ranch with booby traps and eventually confronts the Martinez brothers in Mexico. He kills the guards and decapitates Victor. Back at his ranch, Rambo survives a wave of hitmen sent by Hugo, who is killed by the traps. In the aftermath, a weakened Rambo sits on his porch, reflecting on his past before riding off into the distance.
