Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1998, Unit 6 is deployed to evacuate Umbrella executives during the Raccoon City incident, but most are bitten; survivors JJ and Dylan Blake are forced to eliminate their comrades, leaving JJ to be killed by the infected. In 2015, Leon S. Kennedy attempts to intercept a van carrying Dr. Antonio Taylor, but is thwarted by Maria Gomez. Meanwhile, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Rebecca Chambers, and Claire Redfield investigate a new T-virus strain linked to Alcatraz Island. While exploring the island, they are separated by a zombie outbreak. Jill finds Leon in the sewers, and they discover blueprints for mosquito-like drones. They are captured by Dylan Blake, who uses the drones to infect the Redfields and Leon, sparing Jill to witness their deaths. Dylan reveals he has taken over Glenn Arias' crime syndicate and joined forces with Maria. Before dying, Taylor gives Claire a code to control the drones. Jill encounters Rebecca, who prepares a vaccine to cure the group. Leon kills Maria. In the final battle, the group fights Dylan, who merges with a bio-organic weapon. Claire and Rebecca use the drones to weaken Dylan, allowing Jill, Leon, and Chris to kill him with explosives.
