Richy Guitar (1984)

The film is about young guitarist Richard (Richy) Schrader, who tries to make a name for himself in West Berlin with his bandmates but keeps failing because he is chronically short of money. Richy dreams of a successful career as a guitarist. He decides to form a band with his friends Igor, the drummer, and Hans, the bassist, but that is when the chaos begins. His parents urge him to find a job and finally go to work, but Richy is hoping for his big break as a musician. When he eventually runs out of money and also starts having problems with his girlfriend Anja, his last hope is a job as a roadie for Nena, so that he can at least save his musical equipment.
