The family faces various challenges in the jungle, including illegal loggers and a hostile scarlet macaw tribe.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Three years after the smuggling incident in Rio, Blu and Jewel raise their children, Bia, Carla, and Tiago. After hearing about other blue macaws in the Amazon, Jewel convinces a reluctant Blu to travel there with their friends Rafael, Nico, and Pedro. They are pursued by Nigel, a flightless cockatoo seeking revenge. In the Amazon, Jewel reunites with her father Eduardo, who distrusts humans. Meanwhile, Blu struggles to fit in with the flock due to his reliance on human tools. Nigel, disguised as a performer named Bob, tries to win a talent show. Blu accidentally causes a war between the blue macaws and a scarlet macaw tribe led by Felipe. After a heated argument, Blu rallies the flock to use his knowledge of human technology to disable the machinery of illegal loggers led by Big Boss. During the chaos, Eduardo is rescued by Blu's human owners, Linda and Túlio. Nigel is eventually neutralized by Gabi, who is revealed to be a tree frog. The film ends with the flock under Linda and Túlio's protection, with Blu and Jewel deciding to live in the Amazon while spending summers in Rio.
