Troubled former UFC middleweight fighter Elwood Dalton, who scams fighters on the underground circuit, accepts a job as head bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse owned by Frankie. After settling in, Dalton befriends a local teenager named Charlie and meets a doctor named Ellie. However, he soon finds himself in the crosshairs of local crime boss Ben Brandt. After a series of escalating conflicts, including a confrontation with a psychopathic enforcer named Knox and a tense standoff involving the local sheriff, the situation turns violent. After Brandt's men burn down Charlie's bookstore, Dalton retaliates by seizing a large sum of illicit cash. The conflict culminates in a high-stakes chase involving a boat and a final, brutal fistfight between Dalton and Knox at the Road House.
