Full plot (contains spoilers)
After Maike cheats on her husband, Sören, their relationship reaches an emotional and sexual dead end. Maike suggests that Sören get even by having a one-night stand of his own—in the hope that they’ll then be “even” and can start over. But she sabotages all of Sören’s attempts to date, driven by repressed jealousy. At the same time, Maike’s friend Doris suspects that her husband, Dirk, is seeing a younger woman. When she discovers that the woman is merely a housekeeper he secretly hired to help him look after their three daughters, she is even angrier: All this time, he’s been presenting himself as a superdad who can handle raising the girls with ease, and then this? With so much relationship trouble to deal with, the friends can barely help with the upcoming wedding of Maike’s sister Inka to her fiancé, Nils. The conservative mother-in-law, Renate, dictates every detail of the wedding so thoroughly that free-spirited Inka is on the verge of calling off the ceremony.
