The story
In 2006, four friends bond during their first year of college. A decade later, Jess, now an aspiring politician, is about to marry her boyfriend Peter. Alice organizes a weekend getaway to Miami for the group, which includes Jess's friend Pippa. However, tensions rise as Alice feels jealous of Pippa. During the trip, the friends party at a club and hire a male stripper. At their vacation house, the stripper makes Jess uncomfortable with his rough talk, leading to a tragic accident where he strikes his head on a fireplace and dies. The friends are left to deal with the consequences of the incident.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 2006, Jess, Alice, Frankie, and Blair bond in college. Ten years later, Jess is set to marry Peter, but Alice organizes a Miami bachelorette party for them, including Jess's friend Pippa. While partying, the group hires a male stripper who dies after hitting his head on a fireplace. Panicked, the women attempt to dispose of the body by jet ski and by hiring a lawyer, who warns them of prison time. They are further complicated by a police officer who turns out to be the stripper they hired, and a subsequent crash involving the stripper's car. Two plainclothes officers arrive, but they are revealed to be accomplices of the dead man, who was a criminal seeking stolen diamonds. The thieves take the women captive. Jess eventually subdues one thief with hairspray and handcuffs while Alice shoots the other. The first thief is later killed by Peter, who drove to Miami high on drugs. The girls are pardoned for eliminating the thieves. Jess wins her political campaign, and the friends reunite for a foam party where they discover the stolen diamonds in a box of pasta.
