Full plot (contains spoilers)
Cherie, a single mother and pre-law student in Los Angeles, reluctantly attends a dinner with a client named Ethan. After a charming start, Ethan attacks her, revealing himself as a supernatural monster. Cherie flees and is briefly detained by police, where Ethan declares he will hunt her until morning. She learns she is one of many 'tithes' for Ethan. Seeking help, she encounters various people, including her ex-boyfriend Trey and his girlfriend Dawn, but Ethan kills them both. Cherie uses her menstrual blood to mislead him and seeks out a group of women led by 'the First Lady,' Dinah. Dinah reveals Ethan is a fallen angel who seeks male dominance. Cherie acts as bait at the Santa Monica Pier, luring Ethan into the sunlight. As dawn breaks, Cherie and the women from the spa trap Ethan in a room, flooding it with sunlight to fatally weaken him. Cherie mocks him as his power dies, and Dinah sets him on fire. Cherie finally returns home to her daughter.
