The story
Sabrina Fairchild, the daughter of a chauffeur, has lived on the Larrabee estate for years and has secretly loved the wealthy, playboy David Larrabee. Before leaving for cooking school in Paris, she experiences a moment of despair and attempts to end her life, only to be saved by David's brother, Linus. Two years later, she returns from Paris as a sophisticated woman. When David encounters her and fails to recognize her at first, he is quickly drawn to her. However, Linus becomes concerned that David's pursuit of Sabrina will jeopardize a lucrative corporate merger and his own plans, leading him to intervene in their burgeoning romance.

Sabrina Fairchild, the daughter of the Larrabee family's chauffeur, has spent her life in love with the wealthy playboy David Larrabee. Before moving to Paris for culinary school, she attempts suicide but is saved by David's brother, Linus. Two years later, she returns as a sophisticated woman. David, initially not recognizing her, becomes captivated by her. Linus, fearing David's pursuit of Sabrina will ruin a corporate merger, intervenes by incapacitating David and taking his place at a romantic rendezvous. Linus and Sabrina eventually fall in love, and Linus tries to convince her to move to Paris with him. Ultimately, David recovers and realizes his feelings for Sabrina. He helps Linus realize his own feelings for her, and the two brothers ultimately part ways to pursue their respective loves, with Linus and Sabrina sailing away together.
