The original cast of the Scary Movie franchise reunites to face a resurfaced masked killer in this latest parody.

The story

After a teenager is attacked by a masked killer, her friends and family members are alerted to the danger. The group, including the iconic characters from previous installments, must navigate the threat while dealing with the realization that the killer is following a 'rebootquel' approach. As the group reunites, they find themselves in a high-stakes situation where the line between the past and present of the franchise blurs. They must determine how to survive the onslaught of the masked figure while navigating the chaotic, parody-filled world of the series.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

After teenager Tuesday Campbell is attacked by Ghostface, her sister Sara and boyfriend Jack seek help from the estranged Cindy Campbell. A group of friends and family, including the 'legacy' characters Shorty, Brenda, and Ray, join the fray. They discover that the killer is using a 'rebootquel' strategy. Amidst a series of deaths—including Doofy, Greg, and Jess—the group faces various threats, including a hallucination-inducing weed high for Shorty and a 'John Wick' style fight for Cindy. The truth is revealed: the killer is actually Elle, with Jack as an accomplice. However, a twist occurs when four more 'Ghostfaces' appear, revealed to be Anthony Anderson and Shaquille O'Neal, who were betrayed by Shorty and Ray. In the end, the original four characters reunite and decide to eliminate the new threat. When the younger characters, Sara and Tuesday, attempt to take over the franchise, the original cast ties them up and leaves them to burn, ensuring they remain the faces of the franchise.
