The story
After her husband's death, Cindy Campbell takes a job caring for a woman in a haunted house. While she navigates the eerie atmosphere, her neighbor Tom Ryan deals with the arrival of his estranged children. Their lives are suddenly upended when a massive alien tripod appears, disabling the local power and threatening the town. Cindy must navigate the mysteries of the haunted house while the community faces an escalating supernatural and extraterrestrial threat.

The film begins with Shaquille O'Neal and Dr. Phil trapped in a room filled with nerve gas. In the main plot, Cindy Campbell seeks work after her husband's death and ends up in a haunted house. Her neighbor, Tom Ryan, is reunited with his children. Their lives collide when a massive alien tripod appears, causing chaos in the town. Cindy discovers a ghost boy and learns of a secret community. Amidst a war between the U.S. military and aliens, Cindy and her friend Brenda Meeks are captured and eventually sent to a room where they encounter a puppet. Cindy realizes the puppet's true identity and, after a series of absurd events involving a desperate U.S. President and a variety of comedic mishaps, the puppets release the captives. The film ends with a series of vignettes, including Tom's public declaration of love and Brenda's new life.
