A couple must navigate a house haunted by a cursed mother while trying to protect her children.
The story
After a tragic incident involving a man named Charlie and his girlfriend Lindsay, the children of Charlie are placed in a research center. His estranged brother Dan and his wife Jody eventually take the children into their care, moving into a suburban home equipped with security cameras. However, the couple soon discovers that the house is plagued by bizarre paranormal activities. As they struggle to bond with the children and manage the escalating supernatural threats, they must find a way to break a curse placed upon the children's biological mother, who seeks to reclaim them.

The film begins with Charlie Sanders and his girlfriend Lindsay filming a sex tape, during which Charlie is attacked by a paranormal force and killed. Months later, the children of Charlie are found by Ja'Marcus and D'Andre in the woods and turned in for a reward. Dan, Charlie's brother, and his wife Jody take the children into a suburban home. They soon encounter supernatural activity and learn that the children's mother, 'Mama', is under a curse and wants to sacrifice them. While Dan works at a research facility where he fails to realize a chimpanzee named Caesar is highly intelligent, Jody and her friend Kendra seek help from a fake psychic and a dream extractor. They find a book called 'Book of the Evil' to break the curse. After a series of mishaps involving the book and a ritual performed by their maid Maria, the situation escalates. In a final confrontation, Jody is thrown off a cliff but survives by landing on a yacht, where she is eaten by a shark. The film ends with a performance by Kendra and a narration by Caesar about the future of apes.
