A group of young adult sleuths and their talking Great Dane reunite to solve a mystery at a haunted tropical resort.

The story

After a period of internal tension, the members of Mystery, Inc.—Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo—are invited individually to a resort called Spooky Island. The owner, Emile Mondavarious, believes the guests are falling under a demonic curse. While Shaggy and Scooby hope the trip will reunite the group, the others intend to solve the mystery independently. The group eventually finds themselves at the resort's abandoned haunted house ride, where they must decide whether to cooperate as the ride is activated and they are put in danger.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Following a period of tension, the members of Mystery, Inc. are invited to Spooky Island, a resort plagued by a demonic curse. While Shaggy and Scooby seek to reunite the group, the others initially try to solve the mystery alone. They eventually cooperate when they find themselves on a haunted house ride. During the investigation, Fred and Velma are possessed by demons, and Shaggy discovers a vat of souls. The group learns that a voodoo priest and the resort owner, who is actually a robot controlled by Scrappy-Doo, plan to use Scooby-Doo as a sacrifice in a ritual called 'The Dark-pocalypse'. The gang eventually unites to stop Scrappy-Doo, who transforms into a giant monster. Daphne defeats the demons by reflecting sunlight through a disco ball, and the group successfully unmasks the villains and reunites.
