The story
Chris is delaying signing divorce papers from Jamie when he encounters Sky, a woman whose Uber was cancelled. He offers her a ride to her motel, but she hesitates to stay there due to her roommate Lisa's drug use. Chris invites her to stay at his home for a few hours. After spending time together, they make love, and Sky returns to the motel the next morning. Later, Chris finds Sky at her workplace and is involved in an altercation that leaves him with a broken leg. Due to his lack of mobility, Sky offers to care for him and is given access to his home, which is secured by a high-tech security program.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After Chris allows Sky into his home to care for his broken leg, Sky reveals she is a psychopath who murdered her roommate to stalk Chris and reconstruct his schedule. She locks him inside using his own security app and demands his bank passwords. After transferring millions, she threatens his daughter to keep him compliant. Meanwhile, a landlord named Ronald discovers Lisa's body and later spots Sky at Chris's house. Sky, working with a man who intentionally broke Chris's leg, eventually kills Ronald with a samurai sword. Chris manages to escape on a snowbike but is captured by Sky's stepfather, Sebastian. The pair intends to steal bonds from Chris's safe and mutilate him so Sebastian can impersonate him. However, Chris's wife Jamie and daughter Willow arrive unexpectedly. During a violent confrontation, Sky shoots Sebastian, and Chris stabs her. Willow, who had been hiding, shoots Sky in the back, ending the threat.
