Billy Batson and his foster siblings must unite to stop the Daughters of Atlas from using a powerful artifact to destroy the Earth.
The story
Four years after the defeat of Thaddeus Sivana, the Daughters of Atlas, Hespera and Kalypso, break into the Acropolis Museum to steal the Wizard's broken staff. In Philadelphia, Billy Batson and his 'Shazamily' are growing apart as they reach adulthood. When the Daughters of Atlas successfully steal the staff and a portion of the magic, they trap the city of Philadelphia within an indestructible dome. Billy and his siblings must navigate their growing pains and internal tensions while facing a looming threat from the daughters of the Titan Atlas, who seek to use the stolen artifacts to reshape the world.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After Hespera and Kalypso steal the Wizard's staff and trap Philadelphia in a dome, Billy Batson and his foster siblings (the Shazamily) must work together to save the city. They discover that one of the daughters, Anthea, is a girl named Anne. During a confrontation, Hespera steals the Golden Apple, the seed of the Tree of Life. The group eventually discovers the truth about the sisters' conflicting goals: Hespera wants to revive her realm, while Kalypso wants to destroy Earth. After a series of battles where the Shazamily lose their powers, Billy faces Kalypso alone. He sacrifices himself to destroy the Tree and Kalypso's army, causing the dome to fall. Following a period of mourning, Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) uses the staff to resurrect Billy and restore his siblings' powers. The film ends with the Shazamily rebuilding their home and the Wizard taking up residence on Earth. A mid-credits scene features members of the Justice Society, and a post-credits scene shows a still-incarcerated Sivana.
