Full plot (contains spoilers)
Heather Mason and her adoptive father, Harry, have lived under false identities to hide her from the Order, a cult of Silent Hill. When a private investigator, Douglas Cartland, begins investigating her, Harry is abducted by the Order. Heather travels to Silent Hill with her friend Vincent, who reveals he is a member of the Order sent to ensure she arrives. They discover Heather is a vessel for Alessa Gillespie, whose past actions created the town's shifting dimensions. After a series of encounters in the fog and the Otherworld, Heather finds her father and a man named Leonard. She eventually faces the cult's leader, Claudia Wolf, and the monster known as the Missionary. By using the Seal of Metron, Heather defeats the Missionary and saves Vincent and her father.
