The story
On Christmas Eve 1971, five-year-old Billy Chapman witnesses his parents' brutal murder by a criminal dressed in a Santa suit. Three years later, Billy is living in a strict, often abusive Catholic orphanage. By 1984, now eighteen, Billy works at a local toy store. On Christmas Eve, he is forced to dress as Santa Claus. While troubled by memories of his parents' murders, he witnesses a co-worker attempting to rape another and snaps, beginning a violent spree of murder throughout the store and the surrounding area.

In 1971, Billy Chapman witnesses a man in a Santa suit murder his parents in Utah. He is sent to a strict orphanage where the Mother Superior uses abusive discipline. In 1984, Billy works at a toy store and develops a crush on a co-worker, Pamela. On Christmas Eve, Billy is forced to dress as Santa. After witnessing a co-worker attempt to rape Pamela, Billy snaps and begins a killing spree, murdering the store staff and a nearby couple. He then decapitates a bully and confronts the orphanage where his brother Ricky lives. After killing a pastor mistaken for him, Billy is confronted by the police. He kills the Mother Superior but is shot in the back by Captain Richards. Before dying, he tells the children they are safe, and his brother Ricky responds with 'Naughty.'
