The story
The film follows four young adults—Alan, his wife Françoise, his lover Michela, and his best friend Igor—as they navigate everyday life after an accident leaves Alan in a wheelchair. Told across four chapters, the story revisits two moments in their lives through each character’s perspective. Each chapter draws on a different film genre, presenting the same events and relationships from a distinct emotional angle. The resulting portrait explores friendship, love, infidelity, and disability, with shifts in tone between psychological thriller, comedy, and drama.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
The film recounts two moments in the lives of four young adults confronted with the trials of fate. Alan, his wife Françoise, his lover Michela, and his best friend Igor experience the facets of everyday life after an accident leaves Alan in a wheelchair. The narrative is therefore arranged in a circular structure across four chapters, one for each character, each inspired by a different film genre. These are four moments in the same story, exploring the characters’ emotions from four different angles. The plot is largely based on the observation of real events and tackles the themes of friendship, love, infidelity, and disability in different tones (psychological thriller, comedy, drama…).
