Full plot (contains spoilers)
Rodeo riders Joe and Beny earn their living with performances in which Cowboy Joe lassoes Beny, who is dressed as an Indian. They also perform as entertainers and singers, traveling from town to town to make ends meet. After a rodeo show, Joe gives a woman a feather, and her daughter Susann, from Leansville, is so taken with him that she secretly hides in Joe and Beny’s covered wagon. They discover her only after the wagon has long since left town. From the next town, Hiddenjunction, they telegraph Leansville to say that they have found Susann and will bring her to her mother. Her mother intends to marry the sinister Dave Arnold, in accordance with her grandfather’s last wishes; Arnold, for his part, is only after her land. He has wanted posters issued for Joe and Beny, accusing them of kidnapping Susann. In a shootout with the “kidnappers,” Susann, who is wary of Arnold, is also supposed to be killed. In fact, Susann had only stowed away in Joe’s wagon because she sees him as the ideal father. When the sheriff of Hiddenjunction learns that Joe and Beny are wanted, the two have to flee town. They leave Rosecity too, after ending up in jail following a brawl and escaping with Susann’s help. The attractive blonde Silvia, who has fallen in love with Beny, also helps them. In their flight, Joe, Beny, and Susann eventually arrive in Liebenthal, a village founded by Germans and run by the resolute Pythonin. The village has been resisting Dave Arnold’s attempts to take it over for some time. Arnold learns that Joe and Beny intend to join forces with Pythonin, and comes to Liebenthal with some thugs, including the sheriffs of Leansville, Rosecity, and Hiddenjunction. A showdown ensues, in which Joe, Beny, Susann, and Silvia defeat their opponents. Susann’s mother, Maria, who has heard about the attack on Liebenthal and has come to town, embraces her daughter. Joe is also welcomed into the family, while Beny gets together with Silvia.
