The story
In 1946, following the end of World War II, Finnish ex-commando Aatami Korpi travels into the Soviet-occupied territory of Karelia. Having discovered gold in Lapland, Korpi is now determined to transport his family's home to a safe location to honor their memory. However, his presence on Soviet soil alerts the authorities. To stop him, the Soviet Union releases Yeagor Draganov, a ruthless former Red Army officer who previously killed Korpi's family, from a Siberian prison. Draganov is offered a reward and a pardon to hunt down the man known as the one who refuses to die.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1946, Finnish ex-commando Aatami Korpi enters Soviet-occupied Karelia to move his family's home to safety. The Soviet Union responds by releasing Yeagor Draganov, the man who killed Korpi's family, to hunt him down. During a pursuit, Korpi defeats a squad of soldiers but spares Draganov, unaware of Draganov's history. After a battle involving motorcycle troops and aircraft, Korpi is forced into the ocean but manages to reach the shore and use a tank to bypass a checkpoint. He is eventually captured by Draganov and taken on a train to Siberia. During the journey, Draganov reveals his role in the deaths of Korpi's family. Enraged, Korpi breaks free and fights his way toward the front of the train. Draganov attempts to escape with the front of the train, and the two engage in a final confrontation. Korpi uses a ballistic missile to destroy Draganov. Having avenged his family, Korpi successfully transports his home across the Finnish border, where he is assisted by local men.
