A reluctant, accident-prone Danish agent is drawn into a mission to rescue a kidnapped Chinese ambassador and bring down the gang behind the abduction.

The story

When Chinese Ambassador Dr. Ling Fung arrives at Geneva Airport for a state visit to Switzerland, a reporter working for an American gangster uses sleeping gas to enable his abduction. The ambassador is smuggled across Europe toward Denmark while the gang targets Danish intelligence agents. Agent Smith is recalled to service, and the reluctant, naive Freddy (Frede) is brought back to help rescue the ambassador and dismantle the organization. Freddy’s efforts lead him into contact with Presto’s Italian mother and later with Diana, the reporter involved in the kidnapping, as the agents try to follow the trail.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

At Geneva Airport, Chinese Ambassador Dr. Ling Fung is welcomed for a state visit to Switzerland. Acting on behalf of an American gangster, reporter Diana releases sleeping gas into the airport lobby through her specially rigged camera, incapacitating everyone. Ling Fung can then be kidnapped without anyone noticing. He is packed into a crate and, disguised as cargo, taken on a tour across Europe to Denmark. At the same time, the criminal organization has several Danish intelligence agents in China, Rome, and Copenhagen eliminated. In response, Agent Smith is brought back into service. He is still recovering from his last mission (in the previous film) and being looked after by young women. The rather reluctant and naive agent Freddy (Frede) is also brought back. They are tasked with freeing the kidnapped Chinese ambassador and dismantling the criminal organization behind the abduction. Freddy happens by chance to come into contact with Presto’s Italian mother. Presto is the head of the organization, which employs Italian Mafia henchmen. Freddy tries everything he can to win her trust, and at first succeeds; she even wants to invite him for coffee. Presto then makes several attempts to get rid of Freddy through treacherous attacks, but they all fail because of secret weapons (James Bond-style), hilarious coincidences, and mishaps. The Danish intelligence service identifies Diana, who was involved in the kidnapping, and her presumed location: a hotel in Hellerup. The ambassador is also being held in a large crate, both at this hotel and in Diana’s apartment. Freddy is assigned to make contact with Diana, Presto’s girlfriend. He persuades her to buy an erotic book about sex and lovemaking positions that contains a hidden camera. Presto discovers it and, after several attempts, finally has Freddy captured. Freddy, however, manages to escape with Diana’s help. The organization then leaves the area. The trail of the Chinese ambassador leads across Denmark, but Agents Smith and Freddy Hansen make no headway. Freddy happens to locate Presto and his mother at their hideout, a hotel in Jutland, but is once again arrested by Presto’s Italian Mafia henchmen. Diana tries to help him again, but this causes Presto to lose trust in her, and she too is detained. Through his naive manner, Freddy manages to free himself and Diana from the gangsters. Agent Smith also picks up the trail to the mysterious hotel, and together they outwit the Mafia henchmen and dismantle the organization. The Chinese ambassador is rescued—or rather, snatched—from his rather comfortable surroundings, where he is accompanied by young, scantily clad women. Presto then escapes in a submarine kept ready in a bunker beneath the hotel, dating from the Second World War. When his mother mishandles her trap-and-surveillance system, the submarine destroys itself out at sea. In despair over her failure, she propels herself off the hotel terrace and into the sea in her recoil- and machine-gun-powered wheelchair. The Chinese ambassador is then seen off in Copenhagen. As he departs, his former female companions also wave to him; they were part of Presto’s staff as well. Freddy and Agent Smith are there too, and their boss commends them. Smith is then also decorated in the airport terminal and presented with a “license to kill.” Diana, who is there as a photographer too, again takes pictures with her specially rigged camera, causing everyone to fall into a deep sleep. At the end, Freddy wakes up some time later and finds himself in the back seat of a tour bus. Surrounded by the young women from Presto’s former crew, with Diana at the wheel, the bus merrily travels along the highway, heading south for an unspecified destination.
