After Katie disappears during a class field trip, the remaining trio examines her laptop and discovers her obsession with the occult. After Katie vanishes during a school trip, the others find her laptop and learn she was seeking a way to contact the entity to escape her alcoholic father. They contact Allison Riley, who tells them they must perform a ritual to 'unveil themselves.' During the ritual, Chloe panics and flees, leading Slender Man to enter her house and drive her mad. Wren, researching the entity in a library, is attacked. Hallie discovers that Wren and Katie's sister, Lizzie, had also tried to contact Slender Man. Hallie finds Wren preparing to commit suicide and dissuades her, only for Slender Man to shatter a window and kidnap Wren with his tentacles.
