Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a drunken night together, Rachel and Dex's relationship becomes complicated as Darcy's wedding nears. Flashbacks reveal they were close in law school, but Darcy's constant presence often disrupted their dynamic. In the present, Rachel hides her feelings while Darcy's friend Ethan becomes frustrated by her lack of honesty. As the wedding approaches, Dex's parents pressure him to stay committed to Darcy. During a trip to the Hamptons, Rachel asks Dex to call off the wedding, but he refuses. A week before the wedding, Rachel visits Ethan in London, where he confesses his love for her. She eventually returns to New York and finds Dex on her doorstep; he has called off the wedding. However, Darcy arrives and discovers both have been cheating. She finds out Rachel is pregnant with Marcus's child. After a heated confrontation where Darcy storms out, the two women encounter each other months later. Darcy claims to be happy with her pregnancy, and Rachel eventually joins Dex, who is waiting for her.
