Full plot (contains spoilers)

Grace King Bichon is a woman working for her father, Wyly King, a show jumping trainer. She attempts to convince him to use a horse named Possum for a competition, but he refuses. While driving home, Grace discovers her husband Eddie is cheating on her with a blonde woman. After catching him at a restaurant, Grace takes their daughter, Caroline, to stay with her sister, Emma Rae. Grace seeks support from her father, but he is preoccupied with the competition. During this time, Grace discovers that her father had cheated on her mother, Georgia, with multiple women, causing a rift in the family. After nearly cheating on Eddie herself with a trainer named Jamie, Grace lightly poisons Eddie with a grandmother's recipe. The couple eventually meets to discuss their issues; Eddie admits he cheated because they lacked intimacy, and Grace reveals she became depressed after dropping out of veterinarian college to work for her father. They decide to work on their marriage. On the day of the competition, Caroline wins with the horse Silver Bell. Wyly loses but reconciles with Georgia. At the celebration, Grace announces she is returning to college to finish her veterinary degree while continuing to work for her father's stable. The film ends with Grace attending veterinary school and reconciled with Eddie.
