A couple waiting for staff housing move in with a reclusive young man who streams his life online, and become part of his broadcasts.
The story
While waiting for staff housing, James and Alison temporarily move into an apartment already occupied by Liam, a young man who rarely leaves. Liam uses a webcam to film himself constantly and stream the footage live on his personal website. As the couple enter his daily life, they too become “actors” on the site. Though apparently very much in love, James and Alison display sexual freedom and curiosity about their unusual host.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
While waiting for staff housing, a couple, James and Alison, move for a while into an apartment already occupied by a young man, Liam. This young roommate almost never leaves the apartment and engages in a strange game: equipped with a webcam, he films himself at every moment and broadcasts the footage live on his personal website. As James and Alison enter Liam’s daily life, they in turn become “actors” on his site. The couple, apparently very much in love, flaunt their sexual freedom and show curiosity about Liam. As the days pass, an uneasy relationship develops among the three protagonists. Alison enjoys letting Liam film her. From his office, James visits Liam’s site and discovers Alison, in front of the young man’s camera, revealing intimate things about herself and speaking frankly about the particular relationship she has with men. Through the camera, James eventually realizes that Alison does not love him as he had imagined; little by little, Liam becomes a witness to the couple’s collapse.
