A teenager bitten by a radioactive spider must team up with alternate versions of Spider-Man from across the multiverse to save his world.
The story
New York City teenager Miles Morales struggles to live up to the expectations of his father, a police officer who views the superhero Spider-Man as a menace. After being bitten by a radioactive spider and gaining superhuman abilities, Miles finds himself in a race against time. When a villainous mastermind, the Kingpin, uses a high-tech collider to access parallel universes, Miles must navigate a complex web of multiversal consequences. To save his city and his own world, he must learn to master his powers and join forces with a diverse group of 'Spider-People' from different dimensions, all while trying to find his own identity as the new hero.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After being bitten by a radioactive spider, teenager Miles Morales gains superpowers and must step into the role of Spider-Man. When the villainous Kingpin activates a collider to access other dimensions, Miles is forced to team up with several other 'Spider-People'—including a weary Peter B. Parker, a stoic Gwen Stacy, and others like Spider-Ham and Spider-Man Noir. Amidst the chaos, Miles's uncle Aaron is revealed to be the Prowler, and he is tragically killed by Kingpin. As the collider threatens to destroy the city, Miles must overcome his insecurities and the physical toll of the multiversal breach. With the help of his friends and the guidance of his father, who eventually realizes the true nature of the hero, Miles successfully defeats Kingpin's forces and uses a new device to send the other Spider-People home. The film concludes with Miles embracing his new life as a hero, while the other characters continue their journeys in their respective dimensions.
