The story
Ten years after the Battle of Naboo, the Galactic Republic is threatened by a Separatist movement consisting of star systems and planets in the outer rim seceding from the republic that has been organized by Count Dooku, a former Jedi Master turned Sith Lord. With the galaxy on the brink of civil war, Obi-Wan Kenobi investigates a mysterious assassination attempt on Senator Padmé Amidala, which leads him to uncover a clone army in service of the Republic and the truth behind the Separatist movement. Meanwhile, his apprentice Anakin Skywalker is assigned to protect Amidala and develops a secret romance with her. Soon, the trio witness the onset of a new threat to the galaxy: the Clone Wars.

Ten years after the Battle of Naboo, the Galactic Republic is threatened by a Separatist movement organized by Count Dooku, a former Jedi Master turned Sith Lord. Senator Padmé Amidala is protected by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, after surviving an assassination attempt. Obi-Wan travels to the planet Kamino and discovers a clone army being produced for the Republic. Meanwhile, Anakin returns to Tatooine to find his mother, Shmi, and is forced to confront her death at the hands of Tusken Raiders. On the planet Geonosis, Obi-Wan is captured by droids and meets Dooku, who reveals the Republic is under the control of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Anakin and Padmé arrive on Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan. They are captured and sentenced to be killed by beasts in an arena. A Jedi strike team, including Mace Windu and Yoda, arrives to rescue them. During a fierce battle, Obi-Wan and Anakin engage in a lightsaber duel with Dooku. Anakin saves Obi-Wan's life but loses his arm in the process. Following the battle, the Clone Wars begin. Anakin is fitted with a cybernetic arm and elopes with Padmé on Naboo.
