The story
In the 16th century, Storm’s father is caught by the Inquisition printing a secret pamphlet by Martin Luther. After his arrest, Storm gets hold of the original type and flees with it. He is helped by Marieke, an orphan girl who lives in the sewers. With his father facing execution at the stake, Storm must race against time to save him. The account presents Storm’s flight with the type and his alliance with Marieke as the immediate conflict, without describing what happens afterward.
