The story

In Thailand, a civil war rages between the forces of drug lord-turned-General M. Bison of Shadaloo and the Allied Nations led by Colonel William F. Guile. After Bison captures 63 A.N. relief workers and demands a massive ransom, Guile refuses and vows to bring him to justice. To infiltrate Bison's empire, Guile enlists the help of two street fighters, Ryu Hoshi and Ken Masters. The group must navigate a dangerous landscape of armed guards and treacherous alliances to reach Bison's stronghold and dismantle his organization from within before the ransom deadline expires.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

In Thailand, a civil war erupts between General M. Bison's Shadaloo forces and the Allied Nations led by Colonel William Guile. Bison captures 63 workers and demands a $20 billion ransom. Guile refuses, and his assistant, Cammy White, identifies Bison's location. Meanwhile, con artists Ryu Hoshi and Ken Masters are recruited by Guile to infiltrate Bison's empire. They are joined by a group seeking revenge against arms dealer Viktor Sagat, including Chun-Li Zang, Edmond Honda, and Balrog. After a series of complications and a failed assassination attempt at a party, Ryu and Ken are captured and taken into Bison's organization. Guile and his allies eventually launch a desperate assault on Bison's base. During the chaos, various allies fight their way through the ranks. Guile eventually faces Bison in a final duel. After a series of exchanges, Guile manages to knock Bison into a bank of hard drives, causing an explosion that seemingly destroys the base. While the hostages are rescued, Guile is left behind to ensure the safety of his friends. In a post-credits scene, it is revealed that Bison's suit's automated systems revived him as the base's power returned.
