Six lonely residents of one neighborhood are connected by unfulfilled desires and uneasy relationships.
The story
Six residents of a residential neighborhood are drawn together by loneliness, though each is isolated in a different way. Writer Mati watches his ex-wife through a window, while intimacy with other women leaves him unmoved. August Kask, an aging bachelor and hairdresser, falls in love with a little girl and is accused of pedophilia. Laura, a single mother, distrusts men and has stopped looking for love. Architect Maurer worries about humanity in general but neglects his wife, who seeks comfort with Theo, the building's doorman. Although women are drawn to Theo, his low social status means others do not take him seriously.
