Two high school seniors embark on a chaotic quest to obtain alcohol and lose their virginity before graduation.
The story
Seth and Evan are unpopular Nevada high school seniors who have been best friends since childhood, and hope to lose their virginities before going to different colleges. When a girl Seth is attracted to, Jules, invites him to a party, the boys decide they need to obtain alcohol. They enlist their friend Fogell, who possesses a fake ID. However, their plan to simply purchase alcohol at a local store quickly spirals into a series of escalating mishaps involving a robbery, a run-in with police officers, and a series of increasingly absurd situations as they navigate the night before graduation.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Seth and Evan, two high school seniors in Nevada, aim to lose their virginity before heading to separate colleges. To facilitate this, they plan to get alcohol for their respective love interests, Jules and Becca. Their friend Fogell uses a fake ID, 'McLovin', to buy alcohol, but he is interrupted by a robbery. During the ensuing chaos, Seth is hit by a car, and the trio ends up in the company of two police officers, Slater and Michaels, who decide to join them for a night of drinking. The night devolves into a series of mishaps: Seth gets into a brawl at a party, and the officers eventually 'bust' a party where Fogell is seen with a girl named Nicola. After a series of reconciliations and realizations about their future plans, Seth and Evan eventually find peace with their situation. The film ends with the two friends and their respective love interests making peace with their actions and moving forward.
