Superjuffie (2018)

Josje is a new teacher in sixth grade at a primary school somewhere in the Netherlands. She is allowed to stay temporarily at the house of her aunt Frederique, who travels all over the world. In a hidden alcove in the house, Josje finds a figurine made from a coconut by a South American tribe. When she accidentally drops it, a mysterious green gas rises up, making Josje very dizzy before she faints. When she comes to, she realizes too late that she is going to be late for work at the school. Once there, Josje befriends the caretaker, Hakim, and soon comes into conflict with headmaster Snor. While teaching, she suddenly hears the voice of an animal. Immediately afterward, she eats a piece of chalk, puts on a superhero costume, and flies to the little animal calling for help. After a few mishaps, she gets the hang of flying. Meanwhile, a tiger cub has gone missing from the local zoo, along with the zoo director. The deputy, Edna Engelenhaar, turns out to be behind both disappearances. She deals in exotic animals, which she sells for a lot of money. With the help of four of her pupils (Toby, Mila, Bo, and Mimoun), Superjuffie manages to rescue director Jan and the tiger cub, and have Edna Engelenhaar arrested. At the end of the film, Superjuffie and Hakim kiss for the first time.
