Full plot (contains spoilers)
Superman intervenes in a conflict involving the nation of Boravia and the country of Jarhanpur, leading to a confrontation with Lex Luthor. After being defeated by a metahuman known as the 'Hammer of Boravia' (later revealed as a clone of himself named Ultraman), Superman retreats to his Fortress of Solitude. He discovers a damaged message from his birth parents, which, once repaired, contains a shocking command to conquer Earth. Public opinion sours against him, and he is eventually detained by the government and handed over to Luthor in a pocket universe. There, he is forced to work with the metahuman Metamorpho. Meanwhile, his allies—including Lois Lane, Green Lantern, and the Justice Gang—work to rescue him and expose Luthor's schemes. The plot culminates in a battle in Metropolis where Superman faces Ultraman and the Engineer. Ultimately, Luthor's schemes are exposed, Superman's name is cleared, and he reconciles his identity with his loved ones.
