The story
Whitney Wolfe, an ambitious and driven woman from Salt Lake City, finds herself overlooked at a technology conference until she meets Sean Rad. After joining his startup, Hatch Labs, she is hired as marketing director and helps develop a new online dating app. While the team initially focuses on their main product, Whitney's involvement with the dating app leads to its rapid growth. However, as the platform gains popularity, she faces internal conflicts regarding the app's safety and the treatment of its female users, forcing her to navigate a complex corporate environment while trying to stay true to her vision.

Whitney Wolfe, an ambitious graduate from Salt Lake City, joins the startup Hatch Labs after being overlooked at a tech conference. She is hired as marketing director and helps launch 'Tinder,' which becomes a massive success. During this time, she enters a relationship with a co-founder, Justin, who later becomes abusive and tries to claim credit for her ideas. After being forced out of the company due to internal conflicts and a non-disclosure agreement, Whitney faces a period of depression and isolation. She eventually partners with others to create 'Bumble,' a dating app specifically designed to empower women. The film follows her rise to becoming the youngest woman to lead a publicly traded company, while she also advocates for legislation against the sharing of unsolicited explicit images.
