The story
Maja appears to have a settled life: she is nearing promotion to senior consultant and lives with her husband, Claes, and teenage son, Magnus, in a house soon to receive an expensive extension. That stability collapses when Claes tells her he wants a divorce and suggests she choose the “immediate divorce” option online. Craving security, Maja feels herself in free fall and tries to regain control. Her efforts take her onto uncertain ground as financial problems, a lover twenty years younger, and a son in trouble complicate her attempts to steady her life.
